Looking

from the ABC set

Don’t look down,
good advice on a tightrope
or on a window ledge:
not on a Moss Side pavement.
Don’t look back?
If you’re twenty three, perhaps,
or have a Jersey carehome childhood;
but nostalgia is a feelgood drug.
Look forward
to living all your first, great
times, before they’re
called your memories.

Yes, I think you make some good points here. You have prompted me to the value of trying to look forward more, and indeed to look back in a more feelgood kind of way. I really like the sequence of images, tightrope, ledge, pavement, care home, drug ... slightly felt I wanted another nearer the ending if at all possible - maybe not. I think I'd, personally, lose the 'Jersey' - I don't think you need to be quite so specific there - just a thought. Thanks.
