The Next Best Thing

Ok, I've got to ask what does paracratic mean? And I take it your being ironical when you say the next best thing will be the last, or is that the pay off. I've always been crap at poetry.

Paracratic? You could google it, it's not quite in the dictionary yet... Ironic? Perhaps an ironic pay off?

Incidentally, I didn't know it existed at all until I Googled it. I (thought I'd) made it up based on the principles of Greek rooted English words, Democracy/cratic, Theocracy, Autocracy etc. and the greek prefix para as in para-normal, para-military, para-plegic etc. Imagine my surprise at its meaning... wonder when it'll make it to a dictionary?

I could never be bothered with those 'use fish with fire engine' games. Always looked at the walkthrough. That's probably why I didn't end up working in military intelligence. Let them keep their bloody secrets. Let's just go to the pub! ;)
