I park my car at the other
end of the street now,
or round the corner
where a chance meeting
is less likely.
A supermarket visit
takes place later
on another day
so our trolleys evade
entanglements.
But memory's meetings are
less easily missed
and encounters brief
continue rolling
behind blue eyes.

This is excellent, simple and quite sad.
