Laughter

in the dark. Don't think

Watch Tom
lose to Jerry; that's
the order of things.
Either
you laugh at crises,
or you drown in tears.
No-one's
reading Kierkegaard,
only Comic Cuts.

I think this is great. I would prefer it if the last three lines were incorporated...ie, because no-one's reading Kierkegaard, only Comic Cuts. It would read better to me, but I don't suppose it matters much.
