Colour me Red

I want to wear red
Brazen and brash
Slim and attractive
And cutting a dash

Blonde hair all a tumble
Bronzed legs arms and face
Laughing so carefree
As if life is no race

But today I wore blue
All sullen and dull
All long tight and horrid
All old creased and null

No confidence
No laughing
No flat tummy too
Just quiet
And thoughtful
And thinking of you

Tomorrow I'll wear yellow
Bright buzzing, full of glee
It will be flowing and lovely
And be me...yes so free..

I will feel so darn lovely
I will bask in the sun
I will smile at 10 strangers
And have so much fun!
