The bag laden droves are gone,
only saxophone wine,
busking for one.
Macy’s window displays a manger,
beside a twinkling yule tree.
Among brightly wrapped presents below,
sleeps a hobo.
From the far side of the street,
you see glitter not glass,
she’s pressed against it,
on the outside.

St. Boniface Church, Tenderloin, San Francisco has opened its doors during daylight hours for years so the homeless can get some rest.
When you first enter, it is quiet and seems empty, then you notice all the pews are full, with people sleeping.
The City's homeless population is over 7,000.
