I can't help it -
Monday has pissed in my tea
All my karmic knots
Are wriggling loose
And this sense
Of inevitable aging
That just won't stop.
A line graph
With time on the y,
Desire to move on the x
And I am inverse,
Inside out, duvet creased
At 5pm, beads bruised
Into my neck -
A sleep slut,
I am cheating on daylight
To teach it a lesson.

You manage to get such force into so few words. Quite remarkable. I have cheated on the daylight so many times that it dumped me for a few months when I was in my first year at Uni.

I really like the rhythm and sound you have created. This works really well to communicate a sense of annoyance at these things we just can't stop.

So many brilliant "bits" in such a short poem.
Loved the line graph, sleep slut and Monday pissing in your tea.
Fine poetry.
