Darkness
(The noon of heavens sorrow
the mid-afternoon our joy)
the sky was terrorized by thunder
as if being ripped into two
"Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani ?
the veil tore ' the earth shook
the ground, involuntarily
opened its mouths

the dead rose among us
the soldier cried; "Lord!
then came soft murmuring,
then came the quiet.

So as the sage,
The son of Simon,
Had told me:
"This is the day that they killed Jesus Christ.
