the king and the queen and the time-machine

The King and the Queen and the Time Machine.

The King and the Queen and the Jester,
Went out to have some fun,
In the land that time forgot,
(Time forgot.)

The King and the Queen and the Jester,
Went out to ride the sky,
To fly on high, to sing and to cry,
In the land that time forgot.

The dawn was gray,
In a purple way,
As long and as lovely was the day,
The day that time forgot.

And forever was of not,
As blue as the dots,
And the spirally flames,
And wandering names,
In the land that time forgot.

And time was a spruce,
And love was let loose,
The clock and the noose,
In the place that time forgot.

And then they flew home,
On a scarlet syndrome,
Home, coming home,
From ever, and from not.

The King and the Queen and the Jester,
Out on a merry afternoon,
And the daffodils bloom,
Along rivers of spoons,
In the land that time forgot…
