jungle

Jungle.

The jungle was dark, and densely overgrown with trees and plants. Only weak light filtered on to the floor on the jungle.

The canopy of high trees was high above the lower trees and bushes. Here the tall trees grew out above the jungle floor, in search of sunlight. On the floor of the jungle the light was dim, and the plants and bushes were shrouded in semi-darkness. They grew thick among the trees, and the people of the area could only travel along the footpaths.

The plants were growing densely and closely together, and intertwined mass of plant life. Shrubs and small trees of all varieties and description grew in the dark jungle. Huge vines creeped and crawled their way among the branches of the trees. Ferns grew in beautiful abundance along the floor of the jungle, and next to the streams. The jungle was a mass of greenery.

The river cut broad and strong through the jungle. It was green and powerful as it rushed along its course. On the banks of the river, the plants and foliage grew thickly. Apart from the river, there was nothing else but the plant life of the jungle. The trees, bushes plants and shrubs stretched out endlessly. A world of virile green plant life.

The trees and bush was alive with song of a million birds, as they flew among the branches. Brightly colored birds of all descriptions flew and played among the foliage of the jungle. Snakes slithered about the green growth, in search of food. Insect life flourished among the hot humid conditions, and the world was alive with their presence and their noise.

In the trees the primates played, mated and searched for food. They often made loud noises, related to their group behavior. The jungle was alive with the noise of monkeys, birds and insects, and the sound of rushing water. It was a cacophonical orchestra of nature. The noise was as overwhelming as the heat was oppressive. The jungle was alive with the life of animals and plants.

High above the sky was blue, but the light only filtered through dimly to the jungle below. The jungle was green and lush with plant life; the trees and bushes grew thickly intertwined. Life went on in an endless cycle of life and death, and rebirth in the mighty green jungle. The green plants and trees grew and flourished, and so did the animal life.

As night fell, the noise diminished in the jungle, and was replaced by the sounds of nocturnal insects and birds. The jungle became quiet, and black, and dark. But tomorrow the sun would rise again after the long night, and would cast its beams gently down from the canopy above.

It would be another day in the never-ending life of the lush green jungle, and life would go on unchanged.

The End.

"In the jungle, the mighty jungle
The lion sleeps tonight
Near the village, the peaceful village
The lion sleeps tonight

Hush my darling, don't fear my darling
The lion sleeps tonight,
My little darling
Don't fear, my little darling"
