Early morning city streets.
The air is cold and crisp.
The car drives smoothly through the silent streets.
Occasionally another car passes by in the opposite direction.
The vehicle’s lights are on because it is still dark.
I drive casually and smoke a cigarette.
Both hands grip the wheel.
It is nice to be out for a drive this early in the morning.
The car glides on silently over the black tar…
