In Perfect Balance

A food chain works as follows. In the wild a frog will catch a few insects for a meal, such as a few flies. Then a large fish might come by and eat the frog. Suddenly, out of the air, a fish-eagle will swoop down and catch the fish as a meal. A few years passes in this fashion, and the eagle grows old and dies near the river where it always fed. Its carcass is returned to the soil, where it will become food for insects; such as flies. The frog again feeds on the flies, and the whole circle repeats itself endlessly. All the factors combined forms the habitat of the creatures. Life balances itself out in this way…
