Over the decades the tree slowly grows as season follows season. As it grows its stem becomes long and tall, bare of all growth. The foliage is at the top of the palm tree in the form of branches that fan out from the centre, from the top of the stem. As the tree grows it sheds its leaves, and grows new ones. Destiny

A Cuckoo-clock is a wall clock, which has a little imitation bird in it which comes out every hour, and calls out the time. If it is Three o’ clock in the afternoon for instance, the little bird will come out a call ‘cuckoo-cuckoo-cuckoo’. If it has called out ‘cuckoo’ three times in this fashion, you know what hour of the day it is regardless of where you find yourself in the house. This is the nice thing about this kind of clock.
