metaphor

1. An ox draws a cart. The ox does all the work, and the cart carries the load.

2. On its dashboard, a car has a rev-counter. It is marked from 0 to 10 000 revolutions per minute. For optimum performance to effieciency ratio, your engine should be running at 3000 revs.

3. If you go to the shop you have to know the price of the items you purchase, otherwise you will face a dilema when you reach the counter to pay.

4. A pressure-cooker is a strong sealed metal vessel for cooking in steam at high pressure. You would usually cook meat and vegetables in it.

5. The day breaks over the hills out in the country-side. Slowly the sun starts to rise over the distant horizon.

6. When one sees a storm brewing, one should seek shelter.
