We

Lights glare, the sounded pursuit
Begins as we enter the next phase,
as moment motions us to our destiny,
linking the past to the present,
timing our entry to absolute perfection,
in archaic harmony we turbo-boost
toward that happiness, delayed, but
gradually gained, invoked as a prayer,
envisaged as a movie, cluttered as our
lives once were, now taking pause, cautious.

Yet caution fails to sum us up as a word,
as in whirlpools we love, and in spoken word
devour one another’s minds, punt down the river
together, walk in the metropolis, happy
in the knowledge that we have each other,
come what may, in spite of argument,
clouds soon clear away, leaving rosy sunset
and balmy night. With this insight we step
forwards hand in hand, hoping for further
elaborations upon this theme, smiling.

very philosophical and, as Jennifer says, a good ending. Is this a typo: 'wlak in the metropolis'

JamesF | June 9, 2009 - 23:26

Woops! Yep, thanks for pointing out the typo sunshine, shall fix it right away!
