Inadvertently
The mint leaf I picked for my tea had a Caterpillar on it
Nearly resplendent
I only realised when I dropped it in the boiling Water
And
Started the rescue immediately.
It was as shocked as I was-
What
Sort of person had I become?
What would become of us?
Harmlessly
The daddy long legs took up residence
In the coil of wires beneath my TV
I helped it out
Into the yard
But
It took exception at the eviction
And fled
Minus
The leg it left in my hand
It was as shocked as I was -
I wondered how far we would get.
The TV never seemed the same after that-
No matter what programme I watched-
I sank into a remote controlled flicker
What would become of me?
The summer was rained off-
I viewed repeats of cricket matches of yore;
Though
I had never said 'yore ' before in my life.
I didn't notice the advent of winter
Believing
It to be just the succession
Of those days of cold rain

I liked this poem-gentle as it is- I tell you you would believe it is winter when the snow falls.

"...I sank into a remote controlled flicker..."
I liked that, sums up someone I know.
