I had only just broken free,
he was the first one to rescue me,
I was questioning the world who I was,
he only told me who he wanted me to be.
A mermaid won't keep a dragon in the sea,
no matter how much, they love it too much
and a dragon wont take a mermaid,
too close to the sun!

The only way I know is to run
away from the ones I love the most!
I am once who pressed into those arms,
then flinched away from their embrace.
If another door, seemed to open to me,
I would run,
a chance to be, so much more free,
and a welcoming hug, can I expect,
another warm soul waiting for me?
Why cant I settle what I have?
Why do I risk it all for hope?
