Planted? title?

I remember that painting I found
through the watercolour and dust
sowed ideas in to my imagination
of what ifs and whys the artists
mind created a baby in an onion,
growing safely as if in a woman,
are you a baby under the layers?

I remember reaching for a window
with sun-beams in the dusty air,
light from under heavy curtains,
gave me an image of sky outside,
gave me an idea of nature warmth
trust to grow and prepare myself
that one day I will see the sun.

I remember find hope in despair,
if for anything was like a plant
was ever growing towards a light
that I hoped exist out of there,
believed the outside world still
there, alive and turning around,
waiting for me to emerge be free

like a plant believe if you stay
alive there is hope a world here

This has tremendous potential - keep going!
I especially like 'the watercolour and dust/sowed ideas... baby in an onion... under layers... nature warmth/trust...' with the theme of painting pictures in our minds.

The only negative for me, is the title.
I chose to just read the poem independent of it, because with 'Rooted' the whole context became sexual which then degraded the poetic value for me...

Really beautiful images, I especially like,

'what ifs and whys the artists
mind created a baby in an onion,
growing safely as if in a woman,
are you a baby under the layers?'
