At last! At last! My name in print
You'd think cruel Fate might take the hint,
When now at last I've made the grade
She would not piss on my parade.
Yet now I've bought the magazine*
I see how spiteful Fate has been,
My name mistyped upon the back
Oh woe is me! Alack! Alack!
"My name's mistyped!" I cried. "Oh ffff…udge!!"
Yet in truth I have no grudge,
I'm overwhelmed that someone chose
To put in print my simple prose.
At last! At last! My name in print
You'd think at last I'd take the hint,
There's more to life than me and id
Get over it? Already did!

Love the irony of this one, David...and the last two lines are wonderful;-)
I'm just going to have a look at my copy now...oh dear, I see what you mean;-(
Such is life, I guess, but if it inspired such a little gem as this, it could be said 'it is an ill wind blows nobody any good';-)
Much enjoyed.

Thanks for reading celticman. My surname is so often misspelt I suppose a typo is not too big a bug.
