SUNNY SPELLS

from the ABC set THE WORLD ABOUT ME

A sunbed by a sun drenched pool
(No reserving! That's the rule).

A parasol to shade the sun
(A beer gone warm is not much fun).

A host of bathers, barely dressed
(Some to die for, some less blessed).

A sun that burns the careless red
(They ought to try suncream instead).

A range of insects, some that bite
(So hard to swat, though try you might).

A bracing dip to cool you down
(The water's deep, try not to drown).

A perfect way of spending time
(The perfect place to end this rhyme).
