Consensual sex can be very serious trouble for teenage boys.

We need to be aware of the massive impact on families, because our system is miserably failing parents and children on sexual issues. In the state of Ohio, if a 14 year old boy has consensual sex with a 12 year old girl, he can be charged with rape. When this happens, the boy is interviewed by the police and if the boy admits his wrongdoing, he will be prosecuted. He will be charged with a sexual crime that could go to the extreme of felony rape.

Through the juvenile justice system, the boy and his parents will face months or even years of misery, depending on the Judge's decision. The boy can be placed in detention or on house arrest. It will be ordered by the Judge that the boy is not to be left alone with any younger siblings. The boy along with his parents will have to attend months of sex offender counseling.

The boy can only refer to the girl as "his victim" within the usual group sessions. The boy is told that his crime of having consensual sex with a 12 year old girl is no different than a 15 year old boy who was charged with fondling a toddler. A 13 year old boy was told the same thing and his crime was touching a girls breast at school because his friends dared him . This is counseling?

There are thousands of boys and parents across the country who are being ground up in the system as you read this. Sexual responsibility is almost totally placed on young males by law. The girls who are considered victims in these cases of consent, face absolutely no court ordered counseling or action at all. Twelve year old and even younger girls are having consensual sex with older boys who often wind up like a deer in your headlights when they are told that they broke the law.

The entire direction of the system is aimed at reforming the males and victimizing the females. These juvenile cases are hidden from the public and they do involve all classes of people. How many parents know the state laws concerning their sons having sex with younger girls? You will find extreme double standards within the social and judicial outlook of the laws.

I read a note once from an 11 year old girl to an older boy. The note mentioned sexual acts that she was going to perform on him and how funny it was that he caused certain stains on her friends favorite sweater. I knew a girl who had three abortions by the time she was 15 years old. She had her first intercourse at ten. Her parents had more money than time, for her.

The out of control teenage sexual trend is caused by the lack of parental supervision and the promotion of sex in the markets of media. Parents are sweeping their teenage girls sexual encounters under the rugs of reputation. The judicial system is pulling the rugs from under the boys. Both, the girls and boys become victims of neglect and persecution.

How do we fix the problem? We get off of our lazy butts and communicate with our children! We get involved in the legislation that concerns our children. We STOP buying products which promote that females are worth more if they look sexy. We quit allowing our teenage daughters to dress like hookers. We teach our teenage boys to respect girls and quit connecting their penis to everything about girls. Most of all, we stop making excuses and learn the word "NO" again.
