The G Club 14

from the ABC set The G Club

Jack half grinned and said,"Just make sure that piece of mind isn't a bit of your brain."

Jack flipped his Nintendo back on and started playing his game again. I patted him on the shoulder and told him thanks and to take care of himself. He chuckled and said,"I have to take care....because nobody gives it to me." Funny...he has said the same thing for 20 years.

I looked back as I walked out the door and for some reason, I really appreciated that Jack was my friend. I have been so caught up in my writing world the last few years that I left my friends out of my life.

Walking up to the car, I could see Demie was still singing. I opened the door and Mariah Carey blasted out. I hate that CD! It belongs to my ex.

I got in and turned the volume down as Demie gave me one of those,"You dare do that" looks. Then she smiled and said,"Don't like Mariah huh?" I replied,"She sings like she's having sex with a giant rabbit...it's very annoying...I want to hear the song...not vocal masturbation."

As I pulled out of Jack's drive, Demie thumbed through my CD book. She giggled and said,"Oooh...Alice Cooper....do you like her?" I laughed and said,"It's a guy Demie....play it..you might like it." She did and the first song was," Only Women Bleed." She listened for a little while, smiled and said,"I like this....I have to start keeping up with the new stuff."

I didn't say a word, I just let her enjoy the music. We decided to just take her bags and packages to her apartment. She only lived about 5 miles from the G Club and we would just stay there until it was time to leave.

I really didn't want to go back to my place. Just knowing the game people had been in there...put a camera in my ceiling fan...not to mention the murdered red head in my shower. Being with Demie seemed to make it a little easier. She was a bit dingy but she was very comfortable to be with....like a good friend.

We arrived at her place around 6:00. I carried in her shopping spree stuff while she ordered a pizza. She had a nice apartment on the third floor of the Madison building. She told me how she shared it with two other girls that were down in Galveston Texas for a little vacation.

I saw she had a computer and decided to get on line to try and investigate the G Club a little...like who owns it and maybe some history .....while we waited for the pizza.
