The wind is blowing a plastic bag around on the street as a shadow of a large bird swoops across the ground. An old man carries his two paper bags of groceries....blue coat...blue hat.
He looks as if he can barely walk...yet he walks. Will a younger man be looking out of his window someday and see me shuffle down the sidewalk?
Another damn gray cloud, moves like a slow ship to hide the sun....it is pretty...silver lining and all...but it does cast a gloom on the ground.
The poor old guy was probably feeling warm in the sun....then...a strong breeze came with that stubborn cloud...moving so slow.....so cold. He flipped up his collar and walked on.
Now...a young girl is walking by.....blue jeans...brown Ugg boots and a white sweat shirt. She is carrying books.....must still be in high school....her pony tail bounces behind her with each step.
I wonder if females naturally wiggle their bottoms or it is just nature? I can tell that she is very pretty...even from my window. She stops to text on her cell phone. The leaves swirl on the sidewalk around her feet like a tribe of Indians dancing around a Totem pole.
That old gray cloud won't give her any sunshine either.
A guy walks up to her....he is waving his hands like a mediocre rapper trying to do a "Lets make up dance" and she is backing away from him. I think....jeese pull your pants up kid....the crotch is at your knees!
Looks like an argument.....he is raising his fist like he is going to hit her....a tingle of rage just went through me....good....he put his hand down...what a punk! I would have ran out and made him piss his oversize pants if he had hit her!
It is muffled what she is screaming at him....I think he JUST lost his girlfriend...he's back to the rap gestures...now he is yelling at her....I can lip read "biotch" from here.
Now a blue RICER Nissan pulls up...(I know what a RICER is from talking with my kids) The car has a large spoiler on the back....it's front wheel drive....sounds like a midget with gas.
He is backing up to get in the car while rapping with his hands (off timing) to the bump...bump bass of the car's CD player.
As the car leaves....she looks a little sad and mad as she stuffs the phone in her pocket.
She looked up at the sky as the sun came through again. Wow....the light shining on her face was so beautiful!
I think I saw a little smile.
I looked up and saw that the old gray cloud had moved on....casting the cold shadow elsewhere.
She walked on down the street in the sunshine.
Hopefully she understood.
Just another cloud.
