I fell in love with an emo boy,
But the emo boy didn't love me back!
I fell in love with an emo boy,
And his eyes were grey, and his hair was black.
And he moshed to the sound of his favourite bands,
And his Vans were shoes, and his shoes were Vans,
And he wrote sad poems, and his screen name said:
'Life's not a picnic- I wish I was dead.'
I fell in love with an emo boy,
But the emo boy didn't love me back!
I fell in love with an emo boy,
With his posters stuck on mirrors with the help of Blu-tack!
And he had a side-fringe, and he played guitar,
And his idol was Gerard from MCR,
And his most-played CDs were HIM and The Rasmus,
And his favourite film was The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I fell in love with an emo boy,
But the emo boy didn't love me back!
I fell in love with an emo boy,
With twelve million Kerrang!s all piled up in a stack.
And he had some thumbholes and an eyebrow stud,
And he joined a cult and drank his best friend's blood,
And his controversial clothing often came from Blue Banana,
But his parents were misguided- bought him Monsters Inc. pyjamas!!!
I fell in love with an emo boy,
And one day I ventured to tell him so.
He raised an eyebrow, gave me a smile,
Looking quite bashful, he said, "Yes, I know."
I'm going out with an emo boy,
And the emo boy's going out with me!
And we share our music, and we stay out late,
And we sit down together by the Emo Tree.
But his best friend emo, he has had no luck,
In matters of love, he is totally stuck.
So meet him by the fountain, don't just pass him by,
If you are a girl who would like an emo guy!

If anyone needs a glossary of teenage-specific terms, I am more than willing to oblige :D

That's really funny Lem - I enjoyed it.
There's a whole Emo park where I live - the grounds of a ruined abbey - it couldn't be more perfect. What a shame you only have a tree.

I love the rhythmicality of this - you ought to set it to music and record it.

Hehe.... as an amateur guitar player, I did set this to a simple chord sequence at the time I wrote it. But I'm far too embarrassed to sing it, let alone record it..... :D
