Silvered

from the ABC set Lacework

You squired me to stand apart
from self;
give what is needed, not asked.

Solomon's wit escapes my homely hasp.
Wisdom is beyond cast of silhouette
or make believe.

Small mercies are home truths
perceived by such as I,
who still receive a fragment
of his agony and grief

and His promise;
we are more than clay.

ooo i like this, subtle so i have needed to read a few times -the tenses, receive(s)and commas in the last part confused me a bit, but i think i get it better now - (could use when instead of that?) Thank goodness for small mercies indeed xx

Ta muchly LittleD, I like the 'when', it adds to the ambivalence/air of something to strive for :-0) xxxx
