What flowers should I tribute,
Illuminate your borders,
Bewitch your love within piped dreams
Of Fables, Rhyme and Song;
Come, let me sow earth friable,
Land sweep of a harp strung house;
Wooded heartland hearth place
Enriched in lives long gone.
Shall I plant the end of time
With Periwinkle, Borage,
Bindweed in humilty,
Monkshood, Wild Columbine;
Gold Hedera to wind constancy
Round unglazed window frame,
Mild breeze may share scented Pinks
Sweet clove, to ease old pain.
Speedwell blue shall strew your walks
To Strawberry's virtue,
Where unhulled fruits of summers kiss
Tremble for the touch of you.
Look now to the solid gate
Where Marigolds still weep,
A guarded hedge of Briar Rose
Our pledges yet may keep.
So, what flowers could I tribute,
Illuminate your borders,
Enfold your love within piped dreams
Of Fables, Rhyme and Song.
