The notion she would kiss me
had not entered my head
but it happened unexpectedly
inside the garden shed.
She brushed her rosebud mouth,
invitingly, against mine
and I felt ten thousand volts
running down my spine.
Her tongue was like a snake,
slithering inside my lips;
she gave vent to her emotion
with the swaying of her hips.
As it was my first kiss
- and I was, at the time, naïve -
I thought it was natural:
I was Adam, tempted by Eve.
Was it real, or was it a dream?
Memories can often deceive.
Yet I’m sure she gave me a gift
that I’ll treasure as long as I live.

Ah, Luigi. Was it real or was it but a dream? I have spent my whole life asking the selfsame question. One day,no doubt, I shall find out the truth.
A beautiful poem, in true Luigi style. Enjoyed;-)

This poem is perfect. I think you wrote the best one on the 'my first kiss' IP challenge.
Wonderful imagery. I especially loved,
'She brushed her rosebud mouth'
and
'I was Adam, tempted by Eve.'
Well done, poems like that truly show the value of art.

I am so glad you liked this Nathan. I find these exercises really inspirational and challenging at the same time. It is rewarding when something worthwhile comes off.
Many thanks for your comment.

Hi luigi,
just running down over some of the older works on
ABC Tales, just had to let you know that this poem
made me laugh, I think it's one of my favourites of
yours.
Jenny.
