"I love you" he spoke,
The words a fountain of emotion
Taking my breath away for one endless moment
I don't know what to speak of
As you stand there, beaming.
For I'm not sure
Whether my love for you is true
Since another has the other half
Of my heart
It cannot decide
Who to stay with,
So my heart split in two,
So I'm always with both
I decided,
because my heart is torn,
Maybe I could trust
My soul
So,
That night,
I tore out my soul
Looking for advice
All it said, was to listen to my heart
So i listened
I listened closely
To the drumming of my heart
And found, not beating,
but on half, it seemed to speak
Jacob, Jacob, Jacob
The other,
also speaking confidently,
Said,
Evan, Evan, Evan
That very next day, though,
I thought I knew it.
but then he said it too
The words as strong as the first,
Taking my breath away,
But then in a different way
But which was better?
I may never know.

So many men, so little time, eh Alyssa?!
I love the idea of your heart being in two different places, and of asking your soul for the answers instead. I hope you made the right choice eventually :)
