Jesus is My Home

I want to give You all the Glory,
To show my love is real,
A heart that knows the heart of God revealed.

I want to feel a passion burning,
As the Holy Spirit guides,
Me in Your ways, I love You in my life.

Changed by Your word,
I see Heaven brought down to earth,
The things of this world are let go.

Shame is forsaken,
As Hope builds foundation stones,
The Rock of Salvation is my home.
Jesus is my home,
Jesus is my home.

I want to love the fallen people,
And when the Kingdom is restored,
Christ will reign in hearts for evermore.

It will take a revolution,
A revival of the saints,
To walk like those who know their God can save.

Chorus…
2nd time..
I will walk on water while my eyes are fixed on You,
And I will be who You made me while I walk inside Your truth,
Jesus is my home,
Jesus is my home.

(This is me singing the song on Youtube...)

This makes me feel a bit queasy. Listen, I need to make a sale or I'll be deleted. You've no idea what that's like. Can I interest you in some water? Guaranteed holy. I've got some wafers too, fully tested for transubstantiation. They taste a bit meaty when you've got a mouth full of Jesus but it all goes to prove they're genuine. Or a piece of the One True Cross? The Other True Cross? The Lying Cross? Anything?

I'll convert to Islam, or whatever you are. I'm desperate!

I love the freedom we have on this site to be ourselves, and express our beliefs. I noticed you haven't submitted anything, except sarcasm. You know what, it doesn't't matter , the drugs must have kicked in because I'm feeling a lot of love for you right now, you sound like an angry catholic, so chill, Jesus loves you!

spambot | September 16, 2011 - 13:02

I know Jesus loves me but I'm pretty sure he doesn't love religion.

Given that heaven is a major motivating factor for the religious, what do you imagine it will be like? This is an honest inquiry.

Sorry for my hypocracy as I was more sarcastic, I get stick sometimes for being a christian, on the forums,
but rarely as comments on my pieces.

To your question about heaven, there's loads of detail in Revelation in the Bible.
I suggest you google `Christian Heaven it's quicker.
My understanding is that it's where there is pure light, truth and love, and you no longer need to hide and best of all: you get to see and experience the incredible presence of God.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

That may just sound religious but I believe that.
And it's not just based on my authority but the authority of the Bible.

I hate religion.
I was 27 when I became a christian.

If you can be bothered to read it you can see where I came from in my faith.

Should I say anything more or just leave you to it? I have no wish to change your beliefs, nor any hope of success if I did. All the same I can't help being intrigued that, like so many religious people, you seem to have given very little though to the ultimate prize: eternal life. Maybe you'll think about it more when you're closer to death?

mark_yelland-brown | September 16, 2011 - 21:22

Salvation through Jesus Christ equals eternal life, sorry I thought that was understood. As it says in the bible, there's salvation in no other name!
Did I not say, I have a faith, I'm a born again believer saved by grace.
Religion tries to earn eternal life, my faith is in what Jesus did on the cross.
'Simples' but profound!

mark_yelland-brown | September 16, 2011 - 21:24

I'm intrigued did you actually read what I said in my last post, and read my testimony?

spambot | September 16, 2011 - 22:02

When you say 'pure light' do you mean it literally or metaphorically? Could you, for example, approximate that part of the heavenly experience by taking a bright light and shining it directly into a subject's eyes? It wouldn't be pleasant.

What is impure light?

Darkness?, we seem to be in different paradigms, bless you, I mean that! Shall we leave this particular strand. Feel free to have last post on it.
