I crave to save
your life, my love
But you are so
bent on turning your steps
towards death's darkened valley
Like a lodestone
marked for the slaughter
you wander
light-footed
bright-eyed
while my nervous hands
try to steer you from the gloom
Why
do you insist on clutching
to swathes of grey mist
straining your eyes for the ghost-light
when behind
the mortal world shines bright?

Hi MisstressDistress,
I can so relate to this brilliant poem, knowing that
it is trying to steer someone into the light, rather
than the darkness.
A very good IP.
Thanks for the read.
Jenny.
