Blissfully Aware

Reading your teasers ones by one
I relax back into my pillow
Which will again hold your head
Next to mine

Scratching dust from my eyes
And grass from yours
With a mental wave
My heart pours

Songs into your life
And you sing them daily
With support acts shaking
Through your ears as well

Scratching sleep from the night
Blissfully aware
Of the capital holding your rested head
Of soft and tangled hair

Reading my own words back
And wondering when it became this honest,
This true,
This passionate

Scratching and blinking the doubt away
To release the liberated bird
Of happiness and smiles -
Of love, in a word

not only did I really enjoy your poem, but the google ads that accompany it were hilarious,

cat health, guinea pigs teeth?

I have got cat advice and dog vaccinations on my page.

Obviously my poetry is written for veterinarians...
