Does a room start to clear shortly after you arrive?
Do people look around with their arms crossed while you speak?
Do your friends forget to invite you around... regularly!
Well, it’s probably because...
You are boring!
It’s ok, help is at hand, why not:
1) Stop talking, especially about yourself
2) If someone tells a story
news flash
you don’t have to better it!
3) If someone asks how you are, it is often a polite acknowledgement
not requiring a five hundred word response
4) You don’t have to answer questions directed at someone else
believe it or not, they have a mouth too!
5) Those things that stick out each side of your head...
they’re called ears
try using them!
To summarise...
If you can remember that the world doesn’t revolve around you
and that it’s ok not to be the centre of attention
then you’re on the road to recovery
If not...
Carry on being lonely sitting by that phone...
You’ll get used to it big mouth!

This is very good advice. However, I find #3 interesting as I think it can vary depending on the person's culture and background. For example, for Polish people it is slightly illogical that you would ask others how they are without expecting them to tell you about their day and for them it's quite rude if somebody walked up to them asking how they are and then keep walking not expecting a proper answer ;-) Well, I agree with all the points in general and of course this is an excellent poem, except that I am Polish, so I'm not too sure about #3 ;-p
Well done.
Nathan.
