eXPERIMENTAL piece inspired by Tim's Dumb Belle. took me almost 10 minutes and I expect it shows :O)
I'm not particularly good at jigsaws
maybe better than average
if you count all those who don't try
Not sure when I started
but I was very pleased
when you came along to help.
It was bigger than I expected
we did a lot of it on the bed
particularly at first
It seemed to be going well
and at last we thought
we had completed the edges
We got over confident
or at least I did
making pieces fit
in a rush for completion
noticing your reducing enthusiasm
that it was getting more difficult.
By the time you left
it had moved to the table
it was obvious now
too late
that a lot of the pieces
were in the wrong place
I kicked the table over
scattering the pieces everywhere
dreaming you would return
so we could start again
I'm still
picking up the pieces.
