“Can’t get enough”

Now this I like, Nathan - big style! My favourite stanza:-

"Each night we lay down for eight hours
of sleep, perhaps longer, but
the sun comes up as if it were on purpose."

I certainly know where you're coming from with this piece, for as the song says, 'We've been together now for forty years,':-) so think I had best sum up my feelings for your poem by saying it is a gem. Much enjoyed.

Wow, thanks Tina. I was actually unsure about this poem. It's just that I haven't written anything for almost a month now and I felt I was weak on form, but if you like it so much then I'm happy with what I've done here. ;-)

Ah he lives! Nice to have you back writing Nathan :) And never think you're getting worse, always stay positive and the poetry will be good regardless. Loved the last stanza:

'Here we are; twenty-five years my love
and in all honesty I –
can’t stand it a day longer – can’t get enough...'

Dear Nathan, never be afraid of putting pen to paper and express your feelings. You might get the odd criticism as well as praise for your work but you will gain in confidence.
This poem is good and has some excellent lines and it shows that you have potential.
Believe in yourself.

Thanks Luigi. Your words are very encouraging and yes, you're right- I should always express my feelings with confidence and shouldn’t be afraid that what came out could be criticised because that can help with the development of my work. Thanks again.
