Laughs, giggles
and slow sighs
parachute on air
like dandelion seeds.
With each whisper
of downfall draught
their lust breaks through
the wall to my room,
dancing irritably
like a mosquito
that found a hole
in the net.
The buzz
paints a clear picture
before my eyes –
I don’t part my fingers
as I hide my face
in my hands,
but I can still see them.
In half-asleep horizon light
they drink wine together –
watch a movie,
then forget the plot.
I taste static in the air
with the tip of my tongue
as her leg slithers
up his jeans.
Pleasured by his lips
her dandelion moans
strike me like hay fever
and yet
I sit in my storm-cloud silence –
listen as spring blossoms.
I watch a rainbow materialise,
realising it’s always in the distance;
never quite close enough for me to
touch.
Alone, I sit and write a poem,
a letter to Eros...

Some fantastic lines here, but this is my favourite stanza:-
"In half-asleep horizon light
they drink wine together –
watch a movie,
then forget the plot."
Well done, again, Nathan;-)

I'm glad you like this stanza- it took me ages to get it right and I don't even know why ;-p
I'm glad you like the poem and yes, I know it spoke to you on a more personal level, which is a great compliment to me as that is one of the main reasons why I write poetry- to reach people and their hearts in any way that I can ;-)
Again, thank you for your wonderful comment.
Love, Nathan xox
