Serendipity

from the ABC set Poems

There are days when the gods conspire against us,
Sometimes for weeks, sometimes a year.
When all our deeds do seem to thwart us
And it seems as though the way will never clear.

Then there are days when the gods seem to
Take us forward and drop us on a distant shore,
That we had not expected to find,
Nor one, that we were really looking for.

And when we arrive a little dazed
But happy, as I am now; happy to be
In this hour, this day, this moment.
I want to say thank you all.
For I believe in Serendipity.

Nice sentiments: I think we all experience these feelings. How often we attract the opposite !

yes, sadly I'm sure it is just a holiday!

Still you don't get the sun without the rain.

At least not in England!
