And she moves on the solid ground
and she shines her light all ‘round
And she moves on the solid earth
and she knows what her wisdom is worth

She lifts me up
She fills my cup
When I’m tired and weary lord

And she keeps the flame
And she gives me hope
To carry on

Shame little Pikkie is very tired. Christmas is great but he wants to sleep now.

Tomorrow is the picnic!!

Nolan | December 25, 2009 - 19:03

if you go down to the woods today
you're sure of a big surprise
if you go down to the woods today
you'd better go in disguise

for ev'ry bear that ever there was
will gather there for certain because
today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

ev'ry teddy bear who's been good
is sure of a treat today
there's lots of marvelous things to eat
and wonderful games to play

neath the trees where nobody sees
they'll hide and seek as long as they please
cause that's the way the teddy bears have their picnic

if you go down to the woods today
you'd better not go alone
it's lovely down in the woods today
but safer to stay at home

for ev'ry bear that ever there was
will gather there for certain because
today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

picnic time for teddy bears
the little teddy bears are having a lovely time today
watch them catch them unawares
and see them picnic on their holiday

see them gaily gad about
they love to play and shout
they never have any care

at six o'clock their mummies and daddies
will take them home to bed
cause they're tired little teddy bears

A Cradle Song

Sweet dreams, form a shade
O’er my lovely infant’s head;
Sweet dreams of pleasant streams
By happy, silent, moony beams.

Sweet Sleep, with soft down
Weave thy brows an infant crown.
Sweet Sleep, Angel mild,
Hover o’er my happy child.

Sweet smiles, in the night
Hover over my delight;
Sweet smiles, mother’s smiles,
All the livelong night beguiles.

Sweet moans, dovelike sighs,
Chase not slumber from thy eyes.
Sweet moans, sweeter smiles,
All the dovelike moans beguiles.

Sleep, sleep, happy child,
All creation slept and smil'd;
Sleep, sleep, happy sleep,
While o’er thee thy mother weep.

Sweet babe, in thy face
Holy image I can trace.
Sweet babe, once like thee,
Thy Maker lay and wept for me,

Wept for me, for thee, for all,
When He was an infant small.
Thou His image ever see,
Heavenly face that smiles on thee

Smiles on thee, on me, on all;
Who became an infant small.
Infant smiles are His own smiles;
Heaven and earth to peace beguiles

ASLEEP! O sleep a little while, white pearl!
And let me kneel, and let me pray to thee,
And let me call Heaven’s blessing on thine eyes,
And let me breathe into the happy air,
That doth enfold and touch thee all about,

Go to sleep, my Teddy Bear,
Close your little button eyes,
And let me smooth your hair.
It feels so soft and silky that,
I'd love to cuddle down by you,
So,
Go to sleep, my darling Teddy Bear.

Nolan | February 9, 2010 - 17:40

Love me tender,
love me sweet,
never let me go
You have made my life complete,
and I love you so

Love me tender,
love me true,
all my dreams fulfilled
For my darlin' I love you,
and I always will

Love me tender,
love me long,
take me to your heart
For it's there that I belong,
and we'll never part

Love me tender,
love me dear,
tell me you are mine
I'll be yours through all the years,
‘till the end of time

I'll walk in the rain by your side
I'll cling to the warmth of your tiny hand
I'll do anything to keep you satisfied
I’ll love you more than anybody can

I'll be there when you're feeling down
To kiss away the tears that you cry
I'll share with you all the happiness I've found
A reflection of the love in your eyes

And the wind will whisper your name to me
Little birds will sing along in time
Leaves will bow down when you walk by
And morning bells will chime

And I'll sing you the songs of the rainbow
A whisper of the joy that is mine
Leaves will bow down when you walk by
And morning bells will chime

Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.

Though I know that evenin's empire has returned into sand,
Vanished from my hand,
Left me blindly here to stand but still not sleeping.
My weariness amazes me, I'm branded on my feet,
I have no one to meet
And the ancient empty street's too dead for dreaming.

Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.

Take me on a trip upon your magic swirlin' ship,
My senses have been stripped, my hands can't feel to grip,
My toes too numb to step, wait only for my boot heels
To be wanderin'.
I'm ready to go anywhere, I'm ready for to fade
Into my own parade, cast your dancing spell my way,
I promise to go under it.

Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.

Though you might hear laughin', spinnin', swingin' madly across the sun,
It's not aimed at anyone, it's just escapin' on the run
And but for the sky there are no fences facin'.
And if you hear vague traces of skippin' reels of rhyme
To your tambourine in time, it's just a ragged clown behind,
I wouldn't pay it any mind, it's just a shadow you're
Seein' that he's chasing.

Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.

Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind,
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow.
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free,
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands,
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves,
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.

Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to.
Hey! Mr Tambourine Man, play a song for me,
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.

Yes I know. Doesn’t it seem strange when you think that the individual words of English each belong to the language itself and are public property, while (even very) simple combinations of such words are claimed for some individual?

If you ask me it doesn’t really make sense &

Nolan | August 18, 2010 - 11:04

Copyright laws must have become terribly complicated with the rapid development and easy public access to the internet. One can hardly imagine international copyright legislation even keeping up. Never mind be enforced.

Not my problem. ©
