311 Pelican Court (book 3)
By Debbie Macomber
A book review.
Easy Read; family & romance
Yes, as the same with the first two books in the Cedar Cove series, I really enjoyed reading this third instalment. Debbie is very good with her characters. This time we get involved with a battling couple, Zachary and Rosie Cox who have two children, Allison and Eddie, going through a divorce. Judge Olivia Lockhart puts it to both parents that the children should stay put while mother and father alternate their living arrangements.
Other characters include Olivia's relationship with newspaper editor Jack Griffin. Bob and Peggy Beldon dealing with a mysterious suicide at their bed and breakfast business and new mother Maryellen's emotional rollercoaster, with boyfriend Jon Bowman who wants to be a hands-on daddy to their newborn daughter, Katie Grace.
Roy McAfee is also investigating the sudden death of Maxwell Russell. To do this he partners up with Sheriff Troy Davis.
Like with the first two books, I found the characters lovely. They make you want to go on over to Cedar Cove, knock on their doors and be welcomed into their neighbourhood of unity. The books leave you with a warm feeling of happiness.
I rate it 5 out of 5.
