Ghetto Qu'ran

from the ABC set Blood, cash and guns!

What makes a thug so different that the rules don't apply.
In religion, you follow or you don't, so don't even try to deny.
That you only follow because you're a thug in doubt.
Don't know what the fuck religion is about.
Commit a sin and the qu'ran is your way out.
Rob a liquor store in the South, then you turn back to doubt.
Only reason you visit the Mosque or the church is to blind the sin.
So on the streets of Harlem, the new religion rackets are now in.
Turn Allahs words into narcotics for those in need.
Those in need who kill others and make them bleed.
Just thinking about them makes me sick to my mind.
Feel like these fools just pray to get the devil out of their mind.
Close their eyes, and if they don't they think they turning blind.
Word in the hood is that they call it the ghetto Qu'ran.
They drink liquor, smoke and get high and say.
Lets clear our mind and get forgiveness for the week.
That will allow us to rape and murder next week.
Make those bitches choke on our dicks until they spit their sick.
Everything that happens is a part of Gods plan.
But some thugs in the ghetto, pray to God.
Whilst holding their guns in their hand.
That's wrong to treat the religion many beleive.
As a way to cover up their guilty ways of living.
Shit like this makes me think,a prison sentence.
Isn't never enough for a brutal mass killing.

Your work is always so powerful and true! and this is so direct and thought provoking.

My favourite lines were;
'Don't know what the fuck religion is about.'

and
'Close their eyes, and if they don't they think they turning blind.'

Best Wishes

P.s.-If you don't get the idea behind this rap. All it is is basically about people who use religion on a regular basis to clear sins. Yet they keep commiting sins and go back to religion to keep a guilty free mind.
