I really like this Pin and understand most of it (growing up in London in the 60's helps). Why pick John Donne? Just wondering because he is one of my all time favourite poets; A HYMN TO GOD THE FATHER, possibly my all time favourite poem.

He had many great pieces which I like. The reason I chose him is also because he was a preacher in a way. Just wanted to to link that with this piece. Showing you can be anyone but still preach for equality and reason.

I like this too - and if you like John Donne then you should read all of the metaphysical poets. Wikipedia has them sorted here:
