Throw dirt on me, and I'll grow a wildflower.
Against what Churchill said, this isn't my finest hour.
Money is a bitch thing, but money can buy power.
It's 'Fuck the world, suck my dick even if it is sour.
No turning back otherwise you're classed as a coward.
I've been to hell and back, I can show you the vouchers.
My lonely nights stand with broken bottles and open Bibles.
My niggers live no more because they were my ex-disciples.
Like Jesus once said ' The Kingdom Of God Is Not Physical',
'But in the heart of man', don't know what to feel but understand
It's like if go around a river accept that you'll freeze,
Walk around a forest and accept you'll get lost in the trees.
But I walk around a fire expecting not to sweat.
Just like I walk around the block putting these bitches into bed.
My life's a big movie and I'm sticking to Gods script.
You punks skipping scenes and causing my life to be shit.
Caution to the wind when I walk right through you.
It's my time to rise through the age of man and gain my freedom.

This is a powerful piece even if you can feel the disdain.Well done ;)

Thank you Highhat, what do you mean by 'feel the disdain'? I know the definition of it however, I'm confused by how you've used it :s
Are you talking about some of the words I use in this piece?
If it offended you I apologize, a lot of my raps/songs are like that.
Highhat | October 24, 2010 - 14:21
No you didn't offend me at all- it wasn't meant to be judgemental- I just thought that it seemed like the narrator was doing a lot of things he/she didn't really like to do?? Hope I'm wrong? Sorry if I got it wrong.
a rap- that is very good indeed. didn't think of that.
Well it is a bit of a scorn on society isn't it?
cheers
Pia ;)

Cool, yes you got it spot on!
It's actually about peer pressure and conforming to societies norm :)
Glad we cleared things up.

So am I. I got this awul feeling that I was completely off track. Glad it was all right. Maybe the word disdain wasn't the right one to use? But I got the part about not wanting to conform at any price. I was wondering- they're not racist remarks are they? Sorry but I've never been good at rap- maybe you can enlighten me?

'I was wondering- they're not racist remarks are they? Sorry but I've never been good at rap- maybe you can enlighten me?'
I'm an African-American born and grown in the states. Round here it's common to use the term 'nigga' because it's only racist if it's used in racist context. As far as it's concerned in my raps, 'niggas' just another word for a working class coloured person growing up in the ghetto.
It's all about how the word is used, not previous connotations linked to it.

Oh I see- didn't fit in with a racist remark either. I think I got the message- you put it clearly anyway. Thanks a lot. Will look out for more of your rap now I understand it better. Looking forward to more from your hand. I think I have read one once before- not that long ago. Its good,a very powerful way of expressing yourself. Very good.
