Thank you Highhat, what do you mean by 'feel the disdain'? I know the definition of it however, I'm confused by how you've used it :s

Are you talking about some of the words I use in this piece?

If it offended you I apologize, a lot of my raps/songs are like that.

No you didn't offend me at all- it wasn't meant to be judgemental- I just thought that it seemed like the narrator was doing a lot of things he/she didn't really like to do?? Hope I'm wrong? Sorry if I got it wrong.
a rap- that is very good indeed. didn't think of that.
Well it is a bit of a scorn on society isn't it?

It's actually about peer pressure and conforming to societies norm :)

So am I. I got this awul feeling that I was completely off track. Glad it was all right. Maybe the word disdain wasn't the right one to use? But I got the part about not wanting to conform at any price. I was wondering- they're not racist remarks are they? Sorry but I've never been good at rap- maybe you can enlighten me?

I'm an African-American born and grown in the states. Round here it's common to use the term 'nigga' because it's only racist if it's used in racist context. As far as it's concerned in my raps, 'niggas' just another word for a working class coloured person growing up in the ghetto.
It's all about how the word is used, not previous connotations linked to it.
