Fair enough,your entitled to your own opinion.To be honest it's better than classicla,rock and Metal.Well,most of the time.I listen to rappers like tupac,eminem,nas,chamillionaire,r-kelly and t.i..Those are few of very talented,successful and honest artists.Check out some of tupacs songs and lyrics.he isn't the conventional rapper like 50 cent.

Well I can't fault the sentiment. But I don't know how effective it is. On the one hand he seems to respect his mamma but I don't know how that sits with the gangsta wannabes. Something of a conflicting message I would think.
I quite liked some of the early rap. Public Enemy were interesting at first. Beastie Boys were amusing...Eminem and Kid Rock aren't bad for middle-class whiteys. Outkast were excellent. But the gangsta stuff looks like a dead-end to me.
Shouting with the caps-lock on looks desperate and being 'disgusting' is just childish. It's all been done by de Sade, Burroughs, Bukowski. The real disgusting stuff is on the news, people abusing kids and animals, ordinary American soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners in Abu Ghraib...that's disgusting.
I thought you would appreciate a straight answer. It's all just my opinion. I could give you a lot of politically correct waffle if you prefer.

Fair,you got your reasons.I'll tell you why there is a gangster image in lyrics of hip-hop music.It's because it's mainstream,people like it.An the fact is they aren't going to be top-class poets.
That relates to me,i admit I'm not as nearly as good of a writer as you,or others on here,infact I'm probably the worst.I'm shit with vocabulary,but one thing I can say is I'm good with my flow of words and thinking of new ideas for music. I admit my music won't be to yours or others liking on this site but that's because in general your more educated and better writers.
The reason me writing rap songs is mainly bcause I can flow to the beats an I enjoy it.As far as the so called "gangster look" goes,it is for the fans and because they can't pull of the smart stuff liek you writers.
I respect you as a writer,an am writing these messages that there is a minority of rappers that don't do it for the gangster look and I am one of them.
P.s. I only wrote in capitals to let people know is abit bazzare and may be disturbing to some. I thought the age certificate rating wasnt enough for it.I wasn't been desperate lets ge that straight.
