One Day

I see emotions dripping down their eyes.
Trying to cover their very own lies.
I can't see the hope but the passion I feel.
For love they would fight, for food they would kill.
For the dark to the light, for the poverty to the deal.
Never would their innocence allow them to steal.
Just imagine this third world, is really real.

Let us all hold hands and work as one.
To acheive the destiny we all have carved.
By God.

One day, we will succeed.

This is another very thought-provoking and moving piece. I can tell it is written from your heart, the trip must have been such a eye opener and fairly hard to know what to do for the best.

I especially like;

"For the dark to the light, for the poverty to the deal.
Never would their innocence allow them to steal."

"Let us all hold hands and work as one.
To acheive the destiny we all have carved."

Best wishes

Thanks Beeme, yes it was a eye opener for me. Kind of upset when I got back but also happy that I did abit to help.
Then I came back and got told MJ past away. OMG.my idol from when I was a teen.

That is a good poem. It contains the truth of humanity, our selfishness and hypocrisy, and our hopes. I am curious to know where you went to?

Hi Pin.

The truest line of this for me is
"For love they would fight, for food they would kill"

Unlike you, I have not been up face to face in this area but their souls are visible on tv.

The saddest lines for me are

"By God.
One day, we will succeed."

because to me therein lies hopelessness for them. They have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and ... When?

I think I appreciate where you are coming from but in a story of despair such as this you must realise that only human intervention can solve the problem.

This is obviously a potential turning point for us and I appreciate that I know no more than you in terms of what magical forces may or may not exist, but I would respectfully suggest that those who give away their power and wait on God are in danger of becoming part of the problem my friend ;-)

I hope I have not offended you, that was definitely not the intent :-)
