Now ask yourself this, what world do we live in
‘Cause one minute you’re the hero the next a villain
We got drive-bys and stabbings as a way of living
Teenagers enticed by MTV gangster videos on television
Yet stickin’ to their mother faith known as their religion
These innocent minds are bewildered by the cards their dealt
The blood of their victims on hands that need our help
Not like what their fathers did to them with a leather belt
Our young are born and skate straight into a world full of nails
If they don’t get punctured they end up in jails
We’ve got nine-year-olds that are scheming to rob banks
‘Cause they’ve been promised candy and admission through the ranks
Their living encaged like animals and cannibals
Eating each other alive to stay survive the nine till five
Everyday their up to trouble on a struggle to strive
Problems, complications and accusations
Kids blaming other kids for their misinterpretations
Dividing this nation, all they know is war no conversation
They argue in court that they were told to carry a piece
No substitution for restitution, the only solution for peace
Masses of minds are shrouded, impaired by vivid clouds and visions
Deceptions and indecision, no true faith or religion, taking yet no giving
The clock is ticking like a bomb in Iraq; soon we’ll all be under attack
There has to be some kind of change for this day and age
We’ve got to rearrange, clear ours minds and turn over the page
Take the stage and spread the message of peace and blockade the rage
Babies are being born in the world already drug addicted and affiliated
Family values are contradicted, ashes to ashes, dust to dust
The pressure is building and we’ve all had enough

These words are very frightening,
yet to me so enlightening!
Another poem written with so much feeling.
Pinda felt so strongly about the pain and
suffering going on in the world, it really
shows in this poem.
I hope now he has found his peace!
Jenny.

Enlightening, powerful, emotive. Pinda always did this so well, highlighting the areas where we need change. Showing his caring nature. RIP I miss your genuine words
