A Vicious Cycle

Her father was no good and was never around,
But she was raised by a mother who held it down.
Her mother took her to church and taught her to pray,
By doing this her mother thought her daughter would find her way.
She watched as her mother went from one guy to the next,
Hoping one would want her for something other than sex.
Her mom said, “Do as I say, not as I do,”
But she thought, “If it is alright for my mom it is alright for me too.”

When she became older she sought the affection she never found,
This all occurred because her father was not around.
That man was not there to give her the “healthy” touch that she so longed for,
To replace this she sought the first male that would accommodate her BUT- it was something more.

So she went on a date without a plan,
Ending up on the wrong end of a one-night stand.
She became pregnant and did not know what to do,
So to make matters worse she dropped out of school.
In doing so she forgot the dream she sought to attain,
Instead of excelling in life she chose only to maintain.
Ultimately she became a young mom just like her mother did,
Just another kid trying to raise another kid.

Great (and unfortunately all to believable) story Pinda. I'm not into rap - I might as well say it now - but that could be a bit of an advantage cos I am not trying to fit the lines and words to any kind of a beat or rhythm. Anyway this stands up on it's own back legs and I enjoyed more than I thought I might to be honest. Nice one!

Awesome,Like you said.Rap isn't rap until you have a beat to it and are trying to make it sound good.
Lets just say what I post are lyrics not raps :)
