World Cup fever

from the ABC set Poems

World cup fever,
all over the place.
Cars garnished,
Painted faces.

Why do we bother?
Why do we fret?
The ball will be kicked,
Into each others net.

We’ll all despair,
At our side’s play
And heap praise
On the other’s lucky day!

We’ll all go mad,
rant and rave.
No matter the outcome
we’ll all be brave.

Does it have anything to do with the toilet, or is that merely incidental ?

is that a joke? but hey... poetry is all about filling the empty gaps with a bit of imagination!

Nice playful rhythm! I don't see any further references to a toilet, apart from the title :)

Thanks, just a play with words. That was all. Perhaps capture the imagination!! lol
