I hate euphemisms. They water down the english language and take away from the idea you're trying to express. Here are a few.
Soldiers don't experience shell shock, members of the armed forces get post-traumatic stress disorder.
Old people don't die, senior citizens pass away.
Bums became panhandlers.
Cops became members of the police force.
Toilet paper became bathroom tissue.
Porn became adult entertainment.
