Nighttime. MY time. For as long as I can remember, I've always felt a special connection to the darkness that, each day, blankets the world like a majestic shroud.
One of the things I love most about the night is what it stands for. To me, nighttime is a time of forgiveness and new beginnings. Every day we do whatever is is we do. We follow routines and do innumerable mundane tasks we've convinced ourself are important. At night, the slate is wiped clean, and we have the next day to look forward to. A new day where we can do something different or worthwhile. We can try to make up for our faults, or right a wrong, or help someone who needs it.
Each night is filled with the promise of a new day, and it's up to us to take that opportunity we're given.
