Wars are raging
In battlefields far;
Troops engagaing
Wherever they are;
But there are other wars
We fight every day;
And we gain more troops
Along the way.
In our minds, in the street,
the battles rage on;
But we accept no defeat
For we’ve fought for so long;
War on drugs, war for rights,
We combat day to day,
And more join these fights,
As they hear what we say.
Support net neutrality!
Fight immorality!
Seek immortality!
(The people all cry)
Remember your start!
Bring back school art!
Please do your part!
(For these things they would die)
So we all march forward as we carry our signs,
With slogans and phrases and simple designs;
We further our causes and fight for what’s right,
And show to the world our hubris and might;
So find your causes, and lend a hand,
Let people see you making your stand;
Stand up, speak out, make yourself known,
In your fight, I can promise, you won’t be alone.

This couplet is outstanding:
'So we all march forward as we carry our signs,
With slogans and phrases and simple designs.'
Have you considered using semi-colons in place of all the full-stops - because it is a fast-paced piece and the stops break it up a little - the semi-colons would enable it to flow more?

Thanks for the advice Jen, I hadn't thought of that. :)
