Tumultous and roaring.
An approval
during Autumn’s season
displacing weakened limbs
harassing aspen leaves
trashing the lakeshore.
If only I possessed such strength
to intimidate leftover bullies
who darken my shadow
reducing their stature
restricting their braggadocio
omitting them
from my revenge list.
Reality and imagination
provide two parallels
for an intimate endurance.

Thank you very much, Julie. It was fun writing this poem. Nice to see others enjoy it. We have received so much rain these days. Phew. Good thing I know how to duck, or dance between the raindrops. Richard LP
